design crush.

i didn't know it was possible to have a design crush {and by this i do not mean on products, which OF course i have an obsession with!}...no, no, i mean on an actual designer!!! and i've got it bad!

i came across ashley meaders recently, and immediately became obsessed. everything she does is so magical. i have no words!!!! {which if you ask my fiance is a first for me, hee hee} but seriously, it feels like you are entering a whimsical wonderland with every styling she creates. just look!

a few years ago, i came across GOOP...a lifestyle newsletter / blog suprisingly by the beautiful gwyneth paltrow. quite frankly i don't know how the woman has time to do all she does, be a mom, AND write a beautiful blog introducing new and exciting things to "make," "go," "get," "do," "be," & "see." but somehow she does it! {well, i am sure with a little help!} regardless, it is totally inspiring to see that she attempts it all, and i think that is definitely something we should all strive for, as it makes life exciting and full...

anyway, what made me think about all this, is that i recently saw an interview with gwyneth after her glee episode {didn't you love it?!}, so it reminded me to check it out. and i thought i would share the love! enjoy!

quote series: No. 5

oh how i heart chanel.

quote series: No. 4

anyone recognize this? this quote is from Conan O'Brien, during his last Tonight Show appearance. the minute he started his last speech, I grabbed a pen and started jotting down what he said...because it was so honest and inspiring.

this quote is hitting home for me right now...these winter months tend to drag on, {especially this winter! blizzard after blizzard here on the east coast.} and i find myself, as well as my friends, are all in the middle of that lull that happens when you just long for the sunshine.

during these months, one tends to feel like the things they wanted to change or the grand plans they have for their life are not happening as quickly as they would like, or not happening at all for that matter...

and it helps to remind yourself that you cannot calculate life to a tee, and sometimes the best days are the actual journey...so it's best to enjoy the ride.

work hard, be kind...and before you know it...spring!

quote series: No. 2

the quote this week focuses on living our moments. with a vacation, an anniversary, and a birthday coming up this month...i really want to focus on embracing each moment that i embark on in the next week and truly live them and enjoy them. {without worrying about all the things on my to do list!}

quote series: No. 1

So I decided that in 2010, I want to write one quote down in my planner every week to be inspired by. And I thought, why not also put them on my little blog here, so you guys can share in this as well! Most will be inspirational, but this week I am starting off with a funny one, because when I came acrossed this quote, I almost fell out of my seat laughing...I don't know about you, but this is me to a tee!!! And laughing to get through this busy week is inspiring in itself!

tea for two: to-go cups

I know these little beauties have been all over the blog world lately, courtesy of the amazing design blog, The Dieline, which features product packaging only…(don’t you just love unique packaging! I think I buy things sometimes for packaging alone, no wait…I definitely do!)…but I could not help but post them as well as they are so inspiring and would be quite a fun edition to the shop. Well, if they weren’t made specifically for the Mallard Tea Shop in the UK. Packaging design by Sarah Walsh.
