ugly betty has been cancelled and ends in 5 episodes! so sad!
i hate when the networks cut shows so suddenly like that! ie. my favorite show in the world, gilmore girls...

at the time i was working at a talent agency, where we got a lot of entertainment news ahead of the curve. so on that particularly busy day (during pilot season), i was sorting through my emails, when i see a new, extremely interesting email pop into my inbox...
subject: cancellations.
body: gilmore girls has been cancelled after 7 seasons, and it will end in 3 weeks.
what!!!!! worst news ever!!!
so pretty much that was the end of me that day. after work, i went to my local bodega and purchased a pint of ben & jerry's, went home to watch season 1 on dvd and proceed to eat the entire pint. dramatic, i know...but if you saw the show, or were a fan, you would be right there with me. if you haven't seen the show, rent the dvd's on netflicks and start at the beginning. i promise you...you WILL be hooked. (7 glorious seasons of the cutest town ever, filled with quirky, but hilarious, characters, and an adorable mother-daughter duo who fill the screen with quippy comebacks, pop-culture references, and the fastest conversations you have ever heard. what's not to love?!)

does anyone else watch ugly betty? i watched it when it first came out and i just got back into it last season, because of the bright & happy sets, the wild costumes, and quirky personalities & plots. there isn't anything else like it on tv right now! oof, abc!
speaking of funny, quirky shows...are you watching modern family? um, hilarious!!!!! i recommend if you need a good laugh. wednesday nights at 9, on abc.
so i JUST started watching the first season of gilmore girls because so many people love it and whenever i'd flip through the channels and pause on an episode, i'd hate the unrealistic banter. but now that i've started from the beginning...it's totally growing on me. i watched a couple dvds in one day! haha. and have you seen loreli's new show - -parenthood? i'm really liking that one. tuesday nights after LOST.
ReplyDeletebec - i am SO happy to hear you started at the beginning! just wait til season 3 i am almost positive you will be hooked!!! i think watching them back to back was what got me hooked in the first place. ;)
ReplyDeletei watched the first 2 episodes of parenthood, and so far i like the concept but im not hooked, yet... but i love lauren graham so for fan support i will continue to watch.
