vintage spoons

My newest collecting fascination is to acquire vintage sterling silver teaspoons. Oh, and I am not talking matching sets here...I mean completely mix-matched spoons with unique, ornate designs on the handle. They are so romantic and elegant, and with a little polishing can be good as new! {But personally I like that they have some wear & tear, because that gives them a story...}

I am planning a garden tea in a few months for my closest girlfriends, so I think I will have to be on a search for all sorts of silver spoons before I do...they will be a great addition to the theme. And after the tea, I can use them as decor by keeping them out in a jar, in the dining room, to add a little ambience!
